ADNOC Pro League Returns to Action with Four Tough Clashes

The ADNOC Pro League returns to action as matchweek 21 kicks off with four tough clashes, set to take place on Friday, and Saturday, April 22nd and 23rd, while the remaining three fixtures will be held on Saturday, April 30th.

The competition has become fierce among all clubs, as each side looks to gain some ground between keeping pace with the league's leading teams, moving up the standings, or steering away from the relegation zone.

Friday's action gets underway when Al Wahda welcome Al Dhafra at Al Nahyan Stadium for the 22:00 kick-off, with Gregory Dufrennes' men seeking to win to heap pressure on leaders Al Ain, while twelfth placed Al Dhafra are looking to achieve a positive result to move up in the standings.

The two teams have previously met 23 times in the league, with fourteen wins for the Abu Dhabi based side and three for Al Dhafra, while draws settled the other six encounters.

At the same time, tenth-placed Ittihad Kalba host ninth-placed Al Nasr, with both teams are in search of improving their position in the standings.

The two teams clashed 13 times before, with seven victories for Al Nasr compared to four wins for Ittihad Kalba, while draws decided the other two matches.

The games continue on Saturday, with Al Wasl hosting Emirates at Zabeel Stadium at 22:00 as both teams seek to compensate for their last defeats in matchweek 20.

Al Wasl are in search of making amends after being defeated in matchweek 19 by Al Ain, while Emirates have no options other than winning to revive their hopes of avoiding relegation to the second division.

The two teams have previously met on 17 occasions, with eleven wins for Al Wasl compared to two for Emirates, while draws decided the other four matches.

At the same time, Ajman welcome Khorfakkan at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium with the hosts looking forward to returning to winning ways after being defeated by Al Dhafra 3-0 in matchweek 19, while Khorfakkan are in search of their second consecutive league win.

The two teams have clashed five times before, with three wins for Ajman and two for Khorfakkan.

The fixtures of matchweek 21 will resume on April 30th, with three tough encounters taking place at the same time.

Fourth-placed Sharjah host thirteenth placed Al Orooba, and Al Ain welcome Shabab Al Ahli at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium, while Bani Yas clash against Al Jazira at Bani Yas Stadium.
