The UAE Pro League has decided to honour those who won medals at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics by entitling the third match-week "Our Paralympic champions are made of gold".
UAE heroes have gifted their country three medals in Tokyo; a gold medal in shooting was won by Abdulla Al Aryani, a silver medal and a bronze medal won by Mohamed Al Qayed in the wheelchair races.
The UAE Pro League has decided to honour their champions by highlighting their achievements at different stadiums on the big screens and monitors ahead of match week 3 games, to shed the light on the efforts, they have put in so as to raise UAE flag in Tokyo.
The Pro League has always stressed that the goals of the ADNOC Pro League go beyond competition and rivalry but as a gate to developing the potential and to enhancing the abilities of everyone in UAE.
With his newly claimed gold medal, shooter Abdullah Al Aryani managed to increase his medal count to 5 medals as he had previously won a gold medal in London 2012 and three silver medals in Rio de Janeiro 2016. Whereas Al Qayed succeeded in repeating this achievement he had accomplished in London 2012, where he won the silver medal in the 800 m wheelchair race and the bronze medal in the 100 m race in Tokyo; he also clinched a gold medal in Rio de Janeiro 2016 Paralympics.
