Al Wasl settled a five-goal thriller at Saqr bin Mohammad Al Qassimi Stadium after sealing a 3-2 win over Khorfakkan in the first leg of the ADIB Cup's first round.
Khorfakkan needed just five minutes to break the deadlock when Aylton Filipe curled a left-footed effort into the bottom corner.
Ten minutes later, Fabio De Lima levelled the scoring for Al Wasl when he picked up the ball inside the box, skipped past Khorfakkan's defenders, before firing a strike into the top corner.
Two minutes after the hour-mark, Gilberto Oliveira put Al Wasl ahead when he twisted and contorted his body to brilliantly steer in Rodrigo Oliveira's cross to make it 2-1.
Filipe grabbed his brace and hit the equalizer for the hosts with a sublime strike into the top corner from inside the box in the 65th minute.
Tomas Chancalay sealed the victory at the death with a clinical finish from the six-yard box.
