Al Ain are the winter champions of the Arabian Gulf League U21 after beating Al Jazira 1-0 in the penultimate matchweek of the first half of the season. They raised their tally to 30 points, five above Ittihad Kalba and Sharjah, who sit second and third, respectively.
Kalba and Sharjah are tied on 25 points after the Tigers defeated Hatta 4-0, while the King overcame Ajman 3-1.
Shabab Al Ahli dropped to fourth place on 23 points after losing 1-0 to Al Wasl who now sit sixth on 17 points. Meanwhile, Al Wahda are fifth on 22 points after a close 2-1 win over Al Nasr.
Bani Yas earned a 2-0 victory over Al Dhafra to sit seventh on 15 points, one above Fujairah who defeated Khorfakkan 1-0.
Ajman, Al Jazira and Al Nasr occupy the positions from ninth to 11th, respectively and are tied on 12 points. Meanwhile, Hatta are 12th on 11 points, one above Khorfakkan who sit 13th. Al Dhafra linger at the bottom of the standings on two points only.
