Shabab Al Ahli came from behind to defeat Khorfakkan 2-1 at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium on Matchweek 26 of the ADNOC Pro League on Thursday.
The hosts took the lead in the 11th minute through Elierce Barbosa who converted emphatically from the spot after Mohammed Jaber had brought down Aylton Boa Morte inside the box.
Gustavo Oliveira brought Shabab Al Ahli level at the midway point of the first half as he exchanged passes with Sultan Fayez before the 19-year-old Brazilian coolly placed the return pass wit his left into the bottom corner to make it 1-1.
Just as the game looked set to end in a draw, youngster Khaled Al Asbahi picked the ball just after the halfway line and embarked on a jinking run that saw him reach the edge of the penalty area before drilling a left-footed effort to register a memorable solo goal on his ADNOC Pro League debut for Shabab Al Ahli.
The result means Shabab Al Ahli end their season with 42 points, placing them fifth in the ADNOC Pro League table, while Khorfakkan freeze at 28 points in tenth place at the finish line.
