Two Draws and a Win Mark End of Pro League Cup's Deciding Positions Mini-League

The mini-league of Pro League Cup to decide the positions from ninth to 14th concluded on Sunday with Al Dhafra snatching a hard-fought 3-2 win over Emirates, while Khorfakkan played out a 2-2 draw against Al Orooba, and Bani Yas came from two goals down to draw Sharjah 2-2.

Al Dhafra vs Emirates (3-2)

A thrilling 3-2 victory at Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium helped Al Dhafra finish 12th with six points while Emirates ended the campaign in ninth place with ten points.

Joao Marcos opened the scoring for Al Dhafra inside three minutes with a right-footed shot from outside the box that beat the goalkeeper.

A judgement error from Al Dhafra goalkeeper allowed Philemon Seyi to score Emirates' equaliser just after the half-hour mark.

Leonard Amesimeku regained Al Dhafra’s advantage five minutes after the restart when he hit a first-time right-footed effort from the edge of the six-yard box following a set-piece.

Yaqoob Yusuf restored parity when he cut inside from the left before curling an effort into the back of the net in the 70th minute.

Al Dhafra captain Makhete Diop converted from the penalty spot six minutes later, sending goalkeeper Abdullah Al Marzoqi the wrong way to seal the victory for the hosts.

Khorfakkan vs Al Orooba (2-2)

A home draw for Khorfakkan at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium did little to lift them of the bottom of the Pro League Cup with four points, while Al Orooba end their maiden season in the competition in 12th place with six points.

Jesus Caique opened the scoring for Khorfakkan after only eight minutes when he met Kalead Abboud's perfect cross with a superb back-heel.

Al Orooba midfielder Ahmed Moosa restored parity 11 minutes later after unleashing a powerful left-footed shot from inside the penalty box to find Khorfakkan's goalkeeper net.

With 65 minutes played at Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Stadium, Antonio Junior stepped up to curl a superb free-kick from 30 yards out for Khorfakkan’s second of the night.

Six minutes from the time, Ronald Stiven rescued a point for the visitors with a late equaliser.

Sharjah vs Bani Yas (2-2)

Bani Yas came from two goals down against Sharjah to earn a 2-2 draw that added a fifth point to their tally as they finish in 13th place while the draw made it nine points for Sharjah who finish tenth.

Sharjah took the lead with Salem Saleh Musallam heading Abdulraheem Bawazir's cross past goalkeeper Khalaf Al Hammadi from six yards one minute before the halftime break.

Ousmane Camara doubled the scoring in the 56th minute when he met Abdulla Kazim's cross with a first-time right-foot shot into the back of the net to make it 2-0.

Bani Yas' Khalid Mohamed Hashemi narrowed the gap after he pounced on the rebound as Saile Souza fired a powerful effort from the outside of the box to hit the bar before it found Hashemi, who tapped the ball into the empty net.

Two minutes from time, Hashemi equalised from the penalty spot after he stepped up to send goalkeeper Darwish Mohammad the wrong way to make it 2-2. Days
