The two 1-0 wins marked the start of the league that will decide the positions from the fifth to eighth as Ittihad Kalba won against Al Wasl and Ajman won against Al Nasr with the same result.
In the first match, Robert Zulj scored the only goal of the match for Ittihad Kalba, in the 40th minute, from the penalty spot, to secure three points for his team.
On the other hand, Ajman left it late to pull off a 1-0 win over Al Nasr, when Yourles Mena scored the only goal of match three minutes from time.
Matches of the mini-league, which decides positions from fifth to eighth continue on Saturday, January 29, with Al Nasr clashing against Ittihad Kalba, and Al Wasl facing Ajman.
The mini-league concludes on March 25 with Ittihad Kalba taking on Ajman, while Al Wasl clash against Al Nasr.
