Khorfakkan earn a convincing first league victory over Al Dhafra

One of the two early kick-offs on Friday was Khorfakkan Vs Al Dhafra at the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qassimi Stadium.

Khorfakkan have yet to win this season, and this is one game they will be looking at winning especially being at home to get their season up and running.

The last time Al Dhafra these two teams play Khorfakkan took Al Dhafra apart with a 5-1 win. No doubt Al Dhafra will be wanting to make amends for that heavy defeat last season.

Khorfakkan were first of the mark as early as the 17-minute when Fahad Hadid played a super ball into the box from the right-wing and the big No 9.

Caique Jesus Da Silva the young Brazilian made no mistake and headed the ball into the back of the net for the 1st goal of the evening.

Early in the 2nd half in the 49th minute, Khorfakkan had a shot on goal via Caique, which was well saved, however, the referee consulted VAR then went to the on-pitch monitor and decided to award a penalty to Khorfakkan for a foul committed by Musallam Fayaz on Caique.

Dodo made no mistake and rifled the penalty into the bottom left corner 2-0 to Khorfakkan.

Nine minutes later the substitute and his first appearance this season Paulinho Melo came off the bench to score a wonderful solo effort to sign seal the game for Khorfakkan 3-0.

In the 67th minute, Makhete Diop did score for Al Dhafra, but the goal was ruled offside from VAR.

Khorfakkan move up 4 places from 13th to 9th in the table whereas Al Dhafra stay in 10th position.
